Chinese Embassy Holds 40th Anniversary Photo Exhibition

On July 14, the Chinese embassy held a photo exhibition at the Parliament Gallery in celebration of the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Sierra Leone. Sierra Leone's Speaker of Parliament Hon. Justice Stronge, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Mr. J. B. Dauda, Deputy Minister Mrs. Elbun Jusu, government officials, friends from all walks of life, as well as representatives from diplomatic corps and international organizations were among the 200 guests or more who attended the event.  

 
Ambassador Kuang Makes a Statement 

Parliament Speaker Hon. Stronge and Foreign Minister Dauda spoke highly of the fruitful cooperation in various fields between Sierra Leone and China  since the two countries established diplomatic relations 40 years ago, and praised China for its tremendous support and assistance to the economic and social development of Sierra Leone. They emphasized that Sierra Leone is committed to strengthening the mutually beneficial bilateral relations with China.

 
Ambassador Kuang With Speaker Stronge and Foreign Minister Dauda 

Ambassador Kuang said that since the establishment of diplomatic ties four decades ago, mutual political trust between the two countries has been strengthened, trade and investment increased, people-to-people exchanges expanded. Looking into future, both sides should seize the opportunity of the 40th Anniversary to strengthen cooperation in all fields so as to push the bilateral relations to new heights.

 

Ambassador Kuang Takes the Guests on a Tour 

The Photos at the Exhibition are vivid records of fruitful cooperation between China and Sierra Leone in political, economic, cultural and educational fields, etc, since the two countries established diplomatic ties 40 years ago. The Exhibition will last until July 21, and is open to the general public every morning.
