Another Batch of Medical Supplies Donated by Chinese Government Handed Over to Sierra Leone

On June 22, 2020, a new batch of medical materials donated by the Chinese government were handed over to the Sierra Leonean government to support the latter's fight against COVID-19. The donation includes 10,032 testing kits, 5,000 PPEs, 15,000 N95 respirators, 150,000 surgical masks, 7,000 medical goggles, 7,000 medical gloves and 3,000 medical shoe covers. Up to now, the Chinese side has done 7 rounds of much-needed medical supplies donation to Sierra Leone.

The hand-over ceremony was graced by H.E. Chinese Ambassador HU Zhangliang, Hon. Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Mrs. Nabeela Tunis, Hon. Minister of Health and Sanitation Dr. Alpha T. Wurie, Hon. Deputy Minister of Finance and Deputy National Coordinator of COVID-19 Response, Mr. Shek Bangura as well as newsmen and newswomen from the fourth estate.

Both sides highly commended the time-tested genuine friendship between China and Sierra Leone and pledged to strengthen solidarity and cooperation and uphold multilateralism.
