Chinese Ambassador Meets with Sierra Leone's Vice President

On April 7, 2017, His Excellence WU Peng, the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Sierra Leone, met with Sierra Leone's Vice President, Honorable Victor Bockarie Foh, at his Tower Hill Office in Freetown. Ambassador WU and the Honorable Vice President talked on the good bilateral relationship and friendly cooperation between China and Sierra Leone.

Honorable Vice President, Victor Bockarie Foh thanked the comprehensive and continuous support from the government and people of China towards the development activities in Sierra Leone, and spoke highly of the friendly relationship that the two nations have enjoyed over the years.

Hon. Vice President Foh, emphasized that, he would do his best to promote and sustain the strategic partnership of comprehensive cooperation between China and Sierra Leone.

Ambassador WU Peng, thanked Hon. Vice President Foh for his great contributions towards developing the bilateral relationship between China and Sierra Leone during his tenure as an Ambassador to China and as Vice President of Sierra Leone. Ambassador WU further told the Vice President that the recent visit of the Chinese Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs ZHANG Ming was fruitful and when he met with H.E. President Koroma during the visit, both of them agreed to accelerate the progress on implementing the outcomes achieved during President Koroma's state visit to China.

Ambassador WU also disclosed that the Embassy in Freetown has been engaging more and more Chinese companies by way of encouraging them to increase investment in Sierra Leone to support the economic growth in the country.
