Delegation of Shandong Police Academy Visited Sierra Leone Police Headquarters and Ministry of Internal Affairs

From January 16 to 19, 2024, a delegation from Shandong Police Academy visited Sierra Leone. accompanied by Ambassador Wang Qing attended the meeting between the delegation and Inspector General of Sierra Leone Police Mr. William Sellu and Minister of Internal Affairs Mr. David Taluva.

Ambassador Wang said that the current cooperation between China and Sierra Leone in various fields has a good momentum, and in recent years the police exchanges and cooperation between the two countries have been close, and fruitful results have been achieved in police capacity building training program, etc. He hoped that the delegation's visit could promote the exchanges and training of police personnel of the two countries to achieve greater development.

The delegation introduced the development history of the academy and the situation of international police training, and expressed their willingness to further explore the practical cooperation in related fields with the Sierra Leone police, and make positive contributions to deepening the police exchanges and cooperation between the two countries.

The Sierra Leonean side welcomed the visit of the delegation of Shandong Police Academy, expressed gratitude the Chinese side for its long-term support in police training, law enforcement equipment assistance and other aspects, and willingness to further enrich the content of practical cooperation with the Chinese side.

The delegation also visited the Sierra Leone Criminal Investigation Department, Peacekeeping and Law Enforcement Academy, Freetown Police Department and other organizations.
